The Institute was founded today!

On September 10, the ‘New Era Zhejiang Rural Research Institute’, jointly initiated by Zhejiang University of Science and Technology, China Academy of Fine Arts Landscape Architecture Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd and Zhejiang Gengxin Agricultural Development Co., Ltd was officially launched in Hangzhou.

The Institute is a private (non-commercial) research institution approved by the Provincial Department of Civil Affairs. It is in charge of the Department of Rural areas and Agriculture of Zhejiang Province. It focuses on leading topics of Rural Revitalization and explores new paths of Rural Revitalization under the new state.

The School of Civil Engineering and Architecture will take the lead in the New Era Rural Research Institute, using the resources availed to their fullest potential, deepening and promoting school-to-school and school-to-local community cooperation. The teachers will write papers and apply scientific research achievements to the great cause of rural revitalization, and constantly improve service capacity of rural construction.

At the same time, we will innovate the teaching mode of applying talents, integrating production, teaching and research, and educating people, with the goal of creating a ‘talent training highland’ in the field of Rural Planning and Construction. We will also cultivate a number of high-quality and professional Rural Revitalization talents.
