4、 Competition mode and content

1. Preliminary competition:

Session: fixed topic speech

Speech topic: my role in building a community with a shared future for mankind, ___. Contestants need to set their own subtitles according to the video titles provided by the organizing committee.

Entry method: each student shall submit a video before May 4, with a speech time of 2-3 minutes. The video is named by name + professional class. The video image and sound shall be complete and clear, and shall not be edited or processed. The video shall be in MP4 file format, no more than 200m.

Selection method: the judges of this competition will score the contestants according to their language ability, speech content and speech skills. The top 20 contestants in the two competition areas (Anji and Xiaoheshan) will enter the finals. The preliminary score will not be brought into the final.

Impromptu speech, answer questions, quick answer of knowledge

Impromptu speech: the contestants draw questions 20 minutes before playing, and the speech time is 2 minutes.

Q & A questions: the contestants answered two questions raised by two foreign judges on the content of the impromptu speech for a total of 2 minutes.

Quick answer of knowledge: the contestant shall draw a knowledge question involving basic knowledge, language knowledge, history and culture, current affairs and politics, and must answer it within 10 seconds after the question is displayed.

5、 Award setting

1. There are 3 special prizes, 3 first prizes, 4 second prizes, 5 third prizes and several winners in this competition.

2. The students who participate in the competition and win the prize will be awarded the award certificate by the school and can obtain innovation credits.

3. According to the competition results, the competition organizing committee will recommend three contestants to participate in the 17th Zhejiang college students' English speech contest (Class A) on behalf of the school, and recommend other excellent contestants to participate in all kinds of English competitions at all levels. During the preparation period of the provincial competition, the competition organizing committee will guide and train the contestants in the whole process.
