Hangzhou Engineering Research Center, a key technology project for intensive land utilization in rail transit protected areas, was selected



Recently, the Municipal Development and Reform Commission announced the list of 8 newly recognized municipal engineering research centers in 2022, and the Hangzhou Engineering Research Center for Key Technology Projects for the Intensive use of land in the Rail Transit Protected Area of Zhejiang Institute of Science and Technology in our district was selected.

The Engineering Research Center is a research and development entity of enterprises, scientific research units, institutions of higher learning, etc. in the city organized by the Hangzhou Municipal Development and Reform Commission based on the needs of promoting the construction of innovative cities at a high level and building a modern economic system, with the goal of enhancing Hangzhou's independent innovation ability and industrial core competitiveness.

The Hangzhou Engineering Research Center for Key technologies for intensive land utilization in rail transit protected areas, which was successfully approved this time, was led by Zhejiang Institute of Science and Technology. The Research Center, together with Hangzhou Metro Group Co., Ltd., Shaoxing Rail Transit Group Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Architectural Design and Research Institute and Zhejiang Geological and Mineral Construction Co., Ltd., focused on China's new urbanization strategy and the core issues of Zhejiang Province's “Mujun Theory of Heroes” reform and “Mu Production Doubling” plan, carried out applied research in three directions: key technologies for environmental effects and control, key technologies for optimal allocation of land space, and key technologies for digital control of intensive land use.

The Engineering Research Center will provide a third-party rail transit protected area land intensive utilization potential evaluation and digital management platform.On the one hand, it promotes the intensive utilization of land resources in intensive urban rail transit areas, and on the other hand, it cultivates industrial innovative talents.In addition, it also promotes exchanges between industries in the field of rail transit.The Engineering Research Center strives to become an important base for the intensive land utilization industry in Hangzhou Rail transit Protected Area.

In the next step, in accordance with the requirements of provincial and municipal work, District Development and Reform Bureau of Economic and Information Technology will attach great importance to the construction of engineering research centers, strengthen management and guidance services, promote engineering research centers to make breakthroughs in independent innovation capabilities and research and development of key core technologies, accelerate the transformation and application of scientific research achievements, and promote the high-quality development of engineering research centers.
