On November 18, 2025, Clarivate Analytics released the 2025 Highly Cited Researchers list, recognizing a total of 6,868 researchers (7,131 listings) from more than 1,300 institutions across 60 countries and regions. With 1,406 listings, Mainland China ranked second globally, accounting for 20% of the total. We are proud to announce that Dr. Liu Yanming from the College of Civil and Architectural Engineering at Zhejiang Sci-Tech University has been selected on the list in the Cross-Category field.
Dr. Liu Yanming holds a Ph.D. in Engineering and graduated in 2025 from the School of Civil Engineering at Zhejiang University of Technology, where he majored in Civil Engineering under the supervision of Professor Shi Tao. His research focuses on low-carbon concrete materials, solid waste resource utilization & CO₂ sequestration, and nano-modified cementitious materials. During his doctoral studies, he received funding from the China Scholarship Council and spent one year as a joint doctoral researcher at Brunel University London under the guidance of Professor Zhou Xiangming. He was also recognized with the Zhejiang University of Technology Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Support Award.
Dr. Liu has participated in seven national and provincial research projects and holds seven patent applications. He has published 27 academic papers in journals including Construction and Building Materials, Case Studies in Construction Materials, and Journal of Building Engineering, among others. As either first author (with the advisor as co-first author) or co-corresponding author, he has published 12 papers, more than 20 of which are indexed by SCI, including three papers recognized as ESI Highly Cited.
The Highly Cited Researchers (HCR) list, released annually by Clarivate Analytics since 2014, identifies scientists and researchers whose publications rank in the top 1% by citations for their field and year, reflecting significant global impact.
