On the afternoon of November 11, the college invited Duan Hongfei, a distinguished professor of China University of Mining and Technology, to give an academic lecture on the topic of "Key Technologies and On-site Engineering Practice of Efficient Mining of Extra-thick Coal Seam Top layer". The Dean of the College presided over the lecture, as well as the Secretary of the Party Committee, the Vice Dean, professional teachers and some graduate students of the College attended. Professor Duan introduced the research background of coal mining and the main technical problems existing in China from the overall demand of coal mining in China. Professor Duan's lecture was very substantial, sharing a lot of scientific research results on the key technologies of coal face mining in extra-thick coal seams, and finally, Professor Duan shared the social and economic benefits generated by his scientific research results. In the Q&A session, Professor Duan answered questions from graduate students of our school.
