The 45th Session of the Party School of the College of Civil and Architectural Engineering Commences




On the afternoon of October 28, 2025, the opening ceremony of the 45th Session of the Party School of the College of Civil and Architectural Engineering was held in Meeting Room C2-318. The event, which marked the first lecture of the session, was presided over by You Yongjie, Deputy Party Secretary of the College, and featured a keynote lecture delivered by Hu Zheping, former Deputy Secretary of the University Party Committee. The session was attended by all enrolled Party School students, newly joined Party members, and selected student leaders.


The lecture, titled Carry Forward the Spirit of the War of Resistance and Strive to Be Pioneers of Our Era, drew upon Mr. Hus professional and personal experiences. He provided a comprehensive and accessible interpretation of the core values of the spirit of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, offering students a clear and meaningful framework to understand this pivotal part of Chinas revolutionary history.


Mr. Hu emphasized that the spirit of the War of Resistance embodies patriotism, collectivism, and heroism, representing a treasured spiritual legacy of the Chinese people. He highlighted how Communist Party members have played a leading role in promoting this spirit, courageously stepping forward in times of national crisis to guide the people out of adversity with unwavering will and selfless sacrifice. According to Mr. Hu, the timeless qualities of unity, fearlessness, and a readiness to struggle remain powerful sources of strength in the new era.


In his address, Mr. Hu encouraged students to reflect deeply on both the significance of the War of Resistance spirit and the responsibilities of Party membership. He urged them to clarify their motivations for joining the Party, strengthen their ideals and convictions, and commit to personal growth in all dimensionsmoral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and labor education. He called upon students to set high standards for themselves, embrace responsibility, and persistently forge ahead.


Concluding the lecture, You Yongjie offered reflections and expectations for the students, touching upon themes of self-positioning, academic dedication, personal cultivation, and the ability to seize opportunities. The session concluded with warm applause as students expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the enlightening first lecture. The 45th Party School session will run for ten days and includes nine courses and one assessment, laying a solid foundation of theoretical knowledge for the development of qualified Party members within the College.
