Recently, a delegation of five from the Party Committee of the College of Civil and Architectural Engineering at Zhejiang Sci-Tech University — including Jin Hui (Party Secretary), You Yongjie (Deputy Party Secretary), and Wu Qian (Secretary of the Architecture Department Party Branch) — visited Yongfu Village in Nanping Township, Tiantai County. They met with the local resident village Party Secretary, Zhang Gaochuan, and jointly signed a Party-building cooperation agreement themed “Branch-to-Branch Collaboration to Empower Shared Prosperity.”

Nanping Township has positioned itself for rural revitalization by developing its tourism sector under the cultural brands of the “Poetic Road of Tang Dynasty” and “Hehe (Harmony) Culture.” During his tenure as the village’s stationed Party Secretary, Dr. Zhang Gaochuan — a returning scholar and faculty member of the Architecture Department — rooted himself in the local community and integrated academic resources with village development. His efforts have earned widespread praise from local officials and villagers alike.

In addition to strengthening grassroots ties, the College’s Party members and faculty guided students in participating in a university-level rural creativity competition. The collaboration resulted in a series of award-winning creative works that contributed to enhancing the village landscape.

Under the newly signed agreement, both parties will deepen cooperation in areas including Party organization building, Party member training, scientific and technological problem-solving, and talent cultivation, with the aim of promoting Party leadership, resource sharing, mutual complementarity, and joint development through practical, impactful initiatives.
